Submission Process
Select a Coordinator
REGISTRATION: OCTOBER 1, 2024 - FEBRUARY 28, 2025
- Choose a coordinator for your school
- Create a Coordinator account
- The coordinator reviews pertinent dates, rules and downloads all necessary forms from the website. Collects books, inputs books and students in the Young Authors' Faire website, and coordinates the delivery of books to the Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools.
The Writing Process
Participating schools engage students in the writing process, build interest in writing, and offer students the opportunity to independently author and illustrate books. Sites are encouraged to get the entire student body involved in the writing of any genre, any form.
Book Display
Attach a comment page to the back of each student book. Give staff, faculty, and parents an opportunity to read and comment on student work. Students benefit from positive feedback.
Select 10 Entries
Select ten entries and designate one top selection to participate in the Fresno County Young Authors' Faire.
Submit Student Information
SUBMISSION WINDOW: October 1, 2024 - February 28, 2025
The coordinator will log in to the Young Authors' Faire website to submit student information about their book, poem or narrative.
Gather Books and PPA Forms
Collect completed PUPIL PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT for each participating student author or illustrator.
- Only entries submitted with a PUPIL PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT for each student author or illustrator will be displayed at the Fresno County YAF.
Book Delivery & Fees Due
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: February 28, 2025
Site Coordinators will:
- Print out a MASTER LIST (Log in as a coordinator to print Master List)
- Highlight the TOP SELECTION
- Box up all ten entries with appropriate PUPIL PARTICIPATION AGREEMENTS
- Enclose payment for entries
- Deliver to the Fresno County Office of Education using an official YAF SCHOOL MAILING LABEL.
